TRIAL SHUT DOWN Christie Brinkley's divorce trial was shut down with talk of a settlement in the works. At the request of Christie and Peter Cook's attorneys, a NY judge halted the case temporarily yesterday, but hope soon disappeared and the trial resumed. After the trial was halted yesterday, Christie told reporters she was “praying for” a settlement.. Peter Cook has been taking a beating throughout the trial with the public learning the details to his affair with a teenager, his $3,000 per month online porn habit, and a psychologist calling him "a narcissist". HOOKING UP!John Mayer loves the ladies, and not just the famous ones! Mayer was playing a small, radio station sponsored concert in NYC when, during a question and answer session, a fan asked if he's ever "hooked up" with a fan. Mayer laughing answered, "Do you respect my honesty? Yes, I have." Of course the crowd of women went crazy with excitement. "But that was before camera phones were around!"
