Scott Thomas of Parmalee in critical condition.


A member of a Greenville (N.C.) band was shot during a botched robbery outside a South Carolina night club early Tuesday morning, according to Rock Hill Police Lt. Brad Redfearn.Greenville-based Parmalee was playing at that club, and was involved in that shooting.A member that band said that Parmalee's Scott Thomas was shot outside a South Carolina club. Thomas is the drummer of Parmalee, and bassist Barry Knox said via e-mail message, "We (want to) figure out the state of our drummer."The shooting followed an armed-robbery attempt. Members of Parmalee were inside an RV when two men forced their way into that vehicle. One of those men had a gun and demanded money.One person was killed in the shootout."We do know that both parties exchanged fire," said Redfearn, indicating that a member of Pamalee was also armed.During that shootout, a member of the band was shot while one of the would-be robbers was killed, Redfearn said. Another suspect was also shot."One of the suspects was killed on the scene and the other was struck. He got away from the RV," Redfearn said. "We found him about 100 yards away. He was on the ground. A victim was also struck."Redfearn said the two men were transported to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. He added that the victim, a member of Parmalee, is in critical condition while the suspect is in stable condition
